Belgian Beers & Ales
Wittekerke Wit  (Wheat) Beer  (5% ABV)

"Wittekerke pours with a dense, creamy, head, and has an attractive,
opalescent, greeny-gold, colour. It is very aromatic indeed, with a clean,
teasing, perfumy fruitiness and a faintly herbal tartness. The body is light but
smooth. The flavours are rounded, with much subtlety and complexity. At first
it seems spicily dry, but there is also a light, underlying creamy sweetness."

Affligem Blond Ale (6% ABV)

This is a strong blond beer, with a yeasty softness to the palate reminiscent of trappist
beers and a tenacious, frothy head. It has a slightly hoppy aroma, which
is less pronounced
in the taste. It is quite sweet but not overpoweringly so, with a strong hint of vanilla in the
aftertaste. Very drinkable, but not in quantity due to the strength. A complex and enjoyable
Belgian ale.

B
rilliant dark copper color with a huge white, rocky head. Yeasty dough,
citrus peel, dried apricot, and mild earthy hop aromas. A smooth frothy entry
leads to a sweet fruity full-bodied palate with rich candied stone apricots and
peaches, sweet toffee, and brilliantly balanced vanilla and brown spices.
Finishes with a long sweet chocolate covered citrus, candied fruit, and a very
subtle, piney hop fade. This is absolutely delicious and very hard to put
down!

Grimbergen Dubbel (6.5% ABV)

The aroma carries slight hints of anise, but is mostly grounded in toffee and
dark malt. In the mouth, the beer is instantly sweet and slightly fruity. The
primary presence is again toffee, but with some hints of chocolate and berry
on down the tongue. A delightful treat !
